New Historic March from New Brunswick 1813 Stock Photos. Kingston Photographer Ernie Hunter has just published a new page of Historic March from New Brunswick 1813 photography.A small group of poorly outfitted soldiers marched from New Brunswick to Kingston, Ontario, in the winter of 1813, to bolster the troops there. This was part of the defense of Upper Canada during the war of 1812. The soldiers, outfitted with a wool uniform, wool great coat, a pair of light mittens and snowshoes marched 57 days in one of the coldest winters on record. A group of Canadian forces soldiers recreated this historic march to Kingston, leaving on the same day and arriving 57 days later.Click here to see more images from Ernie Hunter.
